Why Choose Hybrid Flooring?
Hybrid floors are the newest floating floor product in the flooring industry. New technology in hybrid floors combine the best of both timber and laminate to create a 100% waterproof timber or stone look option for your home or office.
Hybrid floors are constructed using a rigid core and polyurethane wear layer that is strong, durable and extremely hardwearing meaning they are perfect for high-traffic areas.
Being a 100% waterproof product means hybrid floors can laid in any part of the home or office including wet areas that more traditional floating floors cannot. Hybrid floors come in modern timber or stone look styles that are a beautifully designed and crafted. Hybrid floors have a foam underlay already attached to the bottom surface of the board so there is no need for conventional underlays and makes for a softer and quieter feel.

Different Types Of Hybrid Flooring:
Hybrid floors are manufactured with a rigid core, polyurethane wear layer and foam underlay attached but vary in length, width and thickness depending on the product you choose. Hybrid floors come in either a modern timber or stone look with a matte or gloss finish. Whatever style or design path your project needs, hybrid floors will stand the test of time and add a touch of elegance and class.
Installing Hybrid Floors:
Hybrid floors are installed using a click-system process like laminate and timber floating floors. They are engineered to have a higher tolerance to the ever-changing Australian climate. Hybrid floors have an underlay already attached to the bottom of the boards so they can be laid straight on top of level sub-floors like timber, concrete and smooth ceramic tiles.
The only disadvantage to hybrid floors is that whilst the boards are constructed with a rigid core for strength and durability, they have a low tolerance to flexing and movement due on unlevel sub-floors.
Hybrid floors require a smooth and level sub-floor for correct installation otherwise the product may become faulty and the manufacturers warranties could be voided. Floor preparation costs vary from project to project but we will always discuss this with our customers when hybrid flooring is the preferred option.
